This template, and it's shortcut {{Cni}} is used to format the catalog number in CD infoboxes. Unnamed or named paramters may be used. If a parameter needs to be skipped then named or numbered parameters should be used, otherwise an empty space must be left. If the catalog numbers are splitting between two lines then use the {{Catalog number entry}} or {{cne}} shortcut, which uses a non-breaking hyphen.

Types of Editions
These should be typed in just as they appear in the Input list. Regular should never be used because it is added automatically when needed. For Limited Edition, and Animate Limited Edition, the Catalog Numbers only need to be entered in the proper parameters and the first parameter is not needed. Generally if there is only a regular edition then this template probably doesn't need to be used, but it can be by just putting the Catalog Number in the first parameter.

| RR | For CDs with Re-Releases that have a different catalog number than the original. This uses the |Reprint= parameter, just has a different displayed label.

| RS | For CDs with Resales that have a different catalog number than the original. This uses the |Reprint= parameter, just has a different displayed label.

| other | When the labels need to be changed from their default values. |labels= must be used, which tells how many labels up to 4 are to be used. |6=, |7=, |8=, and |9= are for the entry of the new labels. See the Examples for how to use this one.

| RV | For CDs with Revival Editions (Movic Re-releases) that have a different catalog number than the original. This uses the |Reprint= parameter, just has a different displayed label.

| SP | When the 'Limited Edition' is called Special Edition. |
| Combo RP | For CDs with any number of Editions and a Reprint. Just enter the Catalog numbers in the appropriate parameters. This will probably never be needed but just in case. |
