In addition to liking to talk, his reason for aiming to become a seiyuu was that when he graduated from high school, he happened to find material about a “seiyuu training school” and was interested in “occupations that dealt with voice.”  Until then he was completely out of the loop in the seiyuu/theatre industry but as he investigated, he deepened his knowledge and interest in it.

His seiyuu debut was in “Bomberman B-Daman Bakugaiden V” as Citizen B in 1999.  His was a slow, long debut but he finally got his first regular anime role in “Naruto” in 2002.  After that, his anime exposure increased.

He left Production Baobab in May 2011 and then joined Morikawa Toshiyuki’s Axl-One agency the following June of that year.  In October 2015, he left Axl-One and went freelance.  On February 1, 2016 he joined Namikawa Daisuke’s Stay-Luck and also served as a teacher at its attached training school, Follow-Up.
