Amano Yuri (天野由梨, January 5, 1966 - ) is a Japanese voice actress (seiyuu) born in Kyoto Prefecture, Japan. She is currently affiliated with Arts Vision.
When she was young, she had a shy and weak personality, but when she was in elementary school, she became interested in theater and realized that she could assert herself. When she was in junior high school, she joined the drama club and gradually her personality began to open. Due to the influence of Takarazuka who was watching with her mother, she wanted to be a stage actress, but since she was impressed by the rebroadcast of "Heidi, Girl of the Alps", she has been interested in the work of voice actors and is free of charge at the voice actor training center. Having taken lessons, she went on to become a voice actor, but continued to audition for musicals.
In 1985, she made her debut as a voice actor in the role of female student A in the TV anime "Showa Aho Soshi Akanuke Ichiban!" Under her real name Yoshikawa Tomoko (吉川智子). Since then, the number of appearances has gradually increased, and especially since the beginning of the 1990s, she has been calling out to various works. Furthermore, in 1997, she released her own drama CD "Madame Lily's Case Files" (the project itself of "Madame Lily's Case Files" was launched from the radio broadcast the previous year).
She has taken over some roles from the dead Noriko Tsukase and Yo Inoue.
Although she retired from the voice acting business in 2000, she returned in August 2003. Since her return she has worked on, "The Marshmallow Times" (role of Mama) and "Legendz Revived Dragon King Legend" (role of BB), and is still active as a voice actor. However, there are some characters such as Akachanman from "Soreike! Anpanman" and Yoko Okino from "Detective Conan" who haven't returned to her even after resuming her voice acting career.
