Help:R18 Guide

This page is to help make sure all the R18 pages are consistent and if you have any questions or suggestions please share them with us here.

• Note: All Romanji names should be in the Family Name First Name order.
• At the bottom of this page is a complete mock up of how a R18 CD page should look. Someday I may make a template out of it, but I sort of doubt it.

Top of the Page

If the CD page is a new release or future release with very little information then put {{current}} and {{future}} templates at the top of the page, respectively.

If the CD doesn't need either of those templates then start with the infobox at the top of the page.

About Infoboxes

{{Infobox R18 CD}} is the template to use for all R18 pages. I've included the code here but you can find more info on how to use it at the template page, including how to format each entry. Make sure to read the information provided there. If you have any questions though, feel free to ask an admin for help.

Summary and Cast Listing

The Synopsis section is where both the English, if it exists, and the Japanese summary are entered. The English summary should be first, followed by 2 line breaks then the Japanese summary. Use limited formatting on the text. To give credit for the English summary use {{Baka-Updates}}, if it comes from the Baka-Updates website or {{Source}} if it comes from anywhere else. You can find more information about both templates on their respective template pages.

The Cast section is where the cast listing for the CD will go. Use the {{Ordered list}} template here. For the actual cast names use the {{Cast listing entry}} or {{cle}} shortcut. Most of the cast lists will use aliases so include the Seiyuu's real name, if known, using the {{Small name}} template. Visit the template documentation pages for more information on how to use them. If for whatever reason you need to include an {{{1}}} then you must write it as {{[[Template:{{=}}|{{=}}]]}}.

Special Section: Character Profile

Include this section after the Synopsis and before the Cast sections. The formatting for this section is fairly unique so I've included an empty example below. A lot of the text that goes into this will probably be in Japanese, but leave the labels in English. You can remove anything from the {{hlist}} you do not have information for, remember to remove the preceeding | as well to avoid empty spaces in the list.

Track lists and Final Sections

In the Track Listing section. Use the {{Track list}} or it's shortcut {{Tlist}} template. If the CD has more than one disc then use the <Tabber>...</Tabber> tags with an single instance of the {{Track list}} template inside each tab. Visit the template documention on how to use it.

The second to last section will be the Tokuten CD/s section. This section is only for media such as mini drama cds and talk cds. Use the {{Tokuten}} template in this section. If there are multiple Tokuten CDs then use the <Tabber>...</Tabber> tags with a single instance of the {{Tokuten}} template inside each tab. Visit the template page for more information on how to use it.

Then last section is the External Links list. In the external links use the {{R18 categories}} template to add all the necessary categories for the CD. Check the template page for explanation on how to use the template.

Tracking

At the moment we do not have tracking categories for Drama CDs but they will more than likely be added in the future.
