Ueda Youji (上田燿司, August 7, 1971 - ) is a Japanese voice actor (seiyuu) born in Hyogo Prefecture, Japan. He previously belonged to Mausu Promotion and Mediarte Entertainment Works. He is currently affiliated with Amuleto. After graduating from the Tokyo Announcement Academy, he entered the Esaki Production Training Center after working at the Theater Research Institute attached to Bungakuza.
He is married to fellow voice actress Nagashima Yuuko (永島由子) and they have one child together.
With the death of Naya Rokurou, he has been playing the role of Squidward from the second movie version of the anime "SpongeBob SquarePants", and has been in charge of the TV series since Season 9. In addition to this, he has also taken over some of the roles that Naya was in charge of in this work (Man Ray, Jenkins, Pirate Patch, etc.).
In "Wacky Races", he took over the roles of Kenken and Monster as a successor to Kamiyama Takuzou, who died, and was also in charge of the live role that Nozawa Nachi had.
